Welcome to our Yorktown BSA Troop 69 webpage!

Yorktown, Indiana Boy Scout Troop 69 is sponsored by the Yorktown United Methodist Church and was founded in 1982 by then Scout Master Garry Reese and the families of 11 Webelos scouts.  Since that time the Troop has been the scouting home to over a hundred families and has had the distinct privilege of helping over 60 young men attain the rank of Eagle Scout!  We are a member of the Golden Eagle District in the Crossroads of America Council.

Currently home to 30 scouts, ranging in age from 11 to 18, from schools in Yorktown, Daleville, Muncie, and Cowan, Troop 69 averages 9 weekend campouts per year. The Troop earns its reputation as a High Adventure Troop through annual summer backpacking or canoe trips as well as a week each year at summer camp.  Our winter activities include ski trips, winter hiking and tobogganing.

We are highly visible in the community.  The Troop actively provides service through our sponsoring church's annual holiday food drive, participating in community events (Yorktown 4th of July Festival, Yorktown Luminary Festival, Homecoming Pancake Breakfast) assisting Yorktown Cub Scout Pack 303 and Daleville Cub Scout Pack 74, and annual Eagle Scout service projects.

We welcome all to visit and join our very active Boy Scout Troop!
